Graphic novel “People of the Antenna House”

Practical portion of my master’s thesis is self-published graphic novel “People of the Antenna House” which is accompanied by reasearch entitled “The Representation of Sounds in the Image”. In my research, I chose to deal with the visualization of sounds, as this is one of the characteristic features of the comic medium, which I use a lot in my art practice. Sounds also play a big visual role in the graphic novel that makes up my master’s thesis. In the future I plan on using what I have learnt to develop my own style for sound effects in comics.

“People of the Antenna House” is a philosophical fiction comic about the clash of different sides of human nature. In the center of a concrete desert, there stands a house with a peculiar antenna. Its verticality is in great conflict with the surrounding people’s horizontal mentality. Exposure to what lies inside the antenna house is revolutionary to the folks of the desert.
