  • Tutor(s): Mihkel-Emil Mikk, Piret Uustal

The authors of this project are Carol Kottisse and Kätlin Kallas.

The project focuses on creating a user-centered design for a mesh nebulizer. The target group for it is children aged between 3-7 years. The company that requested this project was Kidsmed.

An inhaler is a medical device that transforms a physiological solution combined with medicine into small mist particles directed into the respiratory tract.  People can use an inhaler for many different ailments, such as asthma or COPD, or for those who struggle with alternative ways to administer medication. Inhalers benefit a person by reducing swelling and keeping irritation at a minimum.

To identify the common problems with using an inhaler, information was gathered by doing interviews with the target group and analyzing the design brief provided by the client.
